Roxy-Being Free In Bali

In the video ROXY summer 2012 Being Free In Bali, it demonstrates the lives of the Roxy surfers. The company Roxy created this video to not only be entertaining for viewers, but also attracts the viewers to purchase Roxy apparel. The audience of this video is targeted to beach loving females ages twelve to thirty. The female viewers of this video aren’t just looking to buy Roxy surf wear etc, but to experience the lives the lives of the Roxy surfers (which are shown in the video as well). In the beginning, when the video was being made, I believe that the audience was young females. Also, it seems as though they base the video off of the lives of female Roxy surfers. This video was made as an advertisement to attract females to Roxy apparel and lifestyle. These famous Roxy surfers have to travel around the world to advertise and promote the Roxy brand. Through this video the rhetor wants the audience to believe that if they purchase items that they can live the same free lifestyle as the surfers in the video. The economy is a huge factor of our society today; and therefore I believe it could be a major deciding factor for Roxy customers. Also, because the Roxy surf team travels to exotic locations they have to entice the eyes of their audience by making their Roxy adventures looks fun, but not dangerous. One way in which the rhetor appeals to the audience’s sense of logic is by the gift body language and expressions. Because these girls in the video are enjoying themselves so much, it creates their audience to want what they have. In conclusion, through this video there is proof that if you live the lifestyle of a surfer you will experience the same happiness, excitement, and adventures as the surfers shown in the video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=endscreen&v=RlDXIyDNe74&NR=1
